The Battered Women’s Support Services (BWSS) provides education, advocacy, and support services to assist all women in its aim to work towards the elimination of violence and to work from a feminist perspective that promotes equality for all women.
This past Summer, the fabric office returned for its second year participating in BWSS’ Sweat to Support Survivors Challenge. The office team committed to sweating everyday for 30-days and raised over $15,000.
100% of the funds raised directly supports BWSS’ frontline life-saving support services, including crisis intervention, counselling, support groups, legal advocacy, employment assistance, housing access, and much more. fabric’s fundraising success would have not been possible without the incredible support and generosity of friends, family, business associates and partners.
To round off the challenge, fabric hosted an outdoor team sweat in Strathcona Park to help bring awareness and raise funds for this incredible organization.
