On September 8, 2024 fabric hosted a fun community event, the Clark Park Spray Jam, in front of Left Field, our 81-apartment purpose-built-rental project.
The Clark Park Spray Jam was an amazing opportunity to connect with the Cedar Cottage community and celebrate East Vancouver’s creativity. Neighbours, families and a sea of E-bikes took over Maddams St. for the event while local graffiti artists were invited to join us and participate in live tagging Left Field’s fence panels with their unique art. Lawn games were scattered along Clark Park for all to enjoy and a face painting station and barbeque were provided with donation proceeds going towards fabric’s Sweat to Support Fundraising Campaign for BWSS.
Featuring the work of graffiti artists Jnaste, Zens, Dedos, Case, Phase and Bee as well as tunes by DJ Brams and DJ Kozue, the Clark Park Spray Jam was a great chance to meet neighbors, enjoy the sunshine and raise funds for a very worthwhile cause. The community was able to appreciate the amazing talent these artists showcased with the remarkable color selection, detail and vision that went into executing each unique artwork. Canvases and paint were also provided for kids and kids-at-heart to pick up their own spray can and give it a try – consensus was that it is much harder than it looks!
