fabric raises funds for BWSS Sweat to Support

This year, the team at fabric excitedly participated in a summer sweat challenge for the
Battered Women’s Support Service (BWSS), an incredible organization that provides
support and advocacy for women who have experienced violence and oppression.
As part of the Sweat to Support challenge, which ran from mid-July to mid-September,
the fabric team committed to working out for a minimum of 30 minutes each day all
summer long and fundraising to support this worthwhile cause.

With a healthy competitive spirit in the fabric office, our goal began at $5000 and was
quickly raised. The fabric team ended the challenge having raised over $14,000
which will directly help the organization take on over 3,000 requests for service
on their 24/7 crisis line!

As part of our challenge, fabric hosted a spin class at SPINCO and invited friends and
family to join us in sweating and supporting BWSS. Special thanks to our friends at
SPINCO for donating their time and studio for our event. We are very appreciative of
everyone who came out to spin with us!

BWSS was thrilled with the support and generosity received by all participants and
donors which allowed them to surpass their fundraising goal of $50,000 with over
$53,000 raised for the organization, making this year the most successful challenge to
date! We were invited to join the BWSS team in celebrating the achievement and fabric
was honored to have been recognized amongst such a remarkable and dedicated group
of people.

The funds raised from this challenge will help change the lives of not only the women
who have experienced violence and oppression but often times their children as well
resulting in a generational impact. It was very powerful evening listening to the survivor
stories and fabric is motivated to sweat and fundraise harder next year!
